It is with great sadness that the family of Andrew Phillip Yevich announces his untimely passing on April 4, 2024, after a brief but valiant battle against cancer. He passed at Waterman Hospital near his home in Tavares, Florida, with his much-adored wife Julie (Miller) Yevich and loving niece Tammy Fitch Borger by his side.

Andrew was born in Margaretville in February 1955, spending his formative years in Downsville.

Andrew was a very entertaining person, regaling family and friends with amusing anecdotes of his many past escapades. Music was his passion, which he shared with everyone, especially his children, nieces, and nephews, sharing pleasant memories that would connect them for many years. Those lucky enough to hear him play his guitars and keyboard truly appreciated his natural ability. Andrew was quite intelligent, quick witted, sometimes with a barb or two. He was very loyal to family and it was important to him to step up for the disadvantaged.

Andrew is predeceased by his loving parents Robert and Joyce Yevich and his oldest sister Kathie Yevich Acocelli.

He is survived by his wife and love of his life, Julie (Miller) Yevich, their two very loved children Christopher Phillip (Jessica) Yevich of Montana, and Alison Michelle (Brian) Lee of Florida; grandson and namesake Andrew “Drew” Yevich, granddaughters Jacquelyn, Kaitlyn, and Emerald “Emma” Yevich. He also leaves behind his brother and great friend John (Cindy) Yevich, sister Patricia (Michael) Mushrush, his much-adored sister-in-law Lorraine Miller (Dennis) Dugan, four nieces and five nephews, and many close cousins and friends.

A remembrance service with Scotty Gladstone officiating, will be held graveside at Paige Cemetery in Downsville, New York, Saturday, Oct. 5 at 10 a.m.
