The West Kortright Center will host an intimate, one-day festival featuring The Mystery Lights, local bands, and a curated selection of food, art, and light installations.

The West Kortright Center will host its inaugural Bucolic Valley Festival Saturday, Aug. 22. The day-long festival will showcase psychedelic rock performances, colorful visual installations, and a roster of local vendors, organizers said.

The festival will be co-produced by the West Kortright Center and local organizers Diana and Chris McShane.

Headlining the event is The Mystery Lights, known for their high-energy live performances.

Supporting acts announced so far include Windows, Kid Bess and the Magic Ring, Gracie Gray, uncleshake, Pleasure Dome, and Düül Suns. Additional performers are expected to be added in the coming months.

Tickets for the festival are on sale now at www.westkc.org and Bucolic Valley Festival’s dedicated site, with discounted rates for West Kortright Center members. Performances will be held on the center’s scenic outdoor stage, set against a valley in the western Catskills, and in the historic indoor stage, celebrated for its acoustics and stained-glass windows.

The West Kortright Center, a nonprofit cultural institution, is known for supporting arts and community programs in central New York. Funding for its 2026 season comes from members, private foundations and grants, including support from the New York State Council on the Arts.
